The flight will take three weeks. It will be dangerous. It will be long and it will be trying. But imagine what its like to live with cancer.
Why are we doing it?
Unfortunately cancer is all around us. Family and friends are affected by it everyday. Help and support for cancer research, awareness of early diagnosis, treatment etc is important. My partner, family and friends are affected by it. I felt that by doing something it can help make a difference.
What are we doing?
I will be doing something that has not been done before to help raise funds for the Cancer Council by flying my microlight from Townsville QLD to Broome WA. The trip will be in memory of Glen Grinham who passed away in December 2009.
How are we doing it?
Flight crew/pilot Mick Sullivan will be flying approx 1900Nm with ground crew Frank Borton driving approx 3800km. In each town that we visit on the trip I will provide regular updates on this website as well as Facebook and Twitter.
How can you get involved?
