Flight for Cancer Fight 2012
Unfortunately cancer is all around us. Family and friends are affected by it every day. Help and support for cancer research, awareness of early diagnosis, treatment etc is important. My family and friends are affected by it. I felt that by doing the Flight for Cancer Fight again can help make a difference.
Why we are doing it?
The Flight for Cancer Fight team is again raising funds for the Cancer Council for Research. June 2012 2 microlights will depart from Nowra NSW, up central NSW then up central QLD to Mount Isa. A Townsville team will meet the Nowra team in Mt Isa then both teams will continue onto Broome WA, again following the major highways.
How are we are doing it?
Pilots Michael Sullivan (Sully) and Jonathan Kick (Footy) will be flying approx 2615Nm and with a ground crew driving approx 5386km. In each town that we visit on the trip we will provide regular updates on this website as well as Facebook and Twitter.
How you can get involved?
Donations can be made by visiting the do-your-thing website. All donations go straight to the cancer council. Head over to our Trip page for updates on where we'll be and how you can join us in raising funds.
